As a Catholic school, there are a vartiety of options available for tuition assistance.
These include: 1. Participating Parishioner
2. Catholic Education Foundation
3. EdChoice Expansion programs
Participating Parishioner
Families that meet the following criteria at either St. Francis de Sales or St. Philip the Apostle are eligible for the participating parishioner rate. the following criteria are considered:
Participates in the faith life of the parish, especially coming together for Sunday Eucharist.
Financially supports the parish on a regular basis through the use of collection envelopes.
Participates in school and/or parish functions and programs. A minimum of 20 volunteer hours per family per year is required.
Registers in the parish and maintains current name, address and telephone number information in the parish records.
Families who do not meet these requirements are charged the non-parishioner rate for tuition. We understand that parishioners may experience temporary financial difficulty due to unforeseen circumstances. The Parish provides tuition assistance to families with demonstrable financial need. Contact the Business Manager in the Parish Office for information about tuition assistance. Applications for this assistance are to be completed online using the FACTS program.
The Catholic Education Foundation Information for this program can be found at here. This needs based program operates in conjuntion with the FACTS Management program. The annual application period is typically available during the month of January. All are encouraged to apply!
Ohio EdChoice and EdChoice Expansion Programs In partnership with the Ohio Department of Education and the School Choice Office; St. Francis de Sales accepts the EdChoice Scholarship for students that currently attend or will attend an underperforming school building/district through the EdChoice Program.
In addition, St. Francis de Sales accepts the EdChoice Expansion Scholarship for families who wish to pursue a private school education. Applicants annual income, as reported on an income verification document, must be less than 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines. Information can be found here at the Ohio Department of Education.
